Pedodontics

What it is

Milk teeth matter: they help children chew, speak and smile, and they hold space for the permanent teeth. We recommend a first visit around the first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth. Early visits help children get used to the dentist calmly, long before any treatment is needed.

At each visit we check how the teeth and jaws are developing, look for early signs of decay, and use preventive treatments such as fluoride varnish and fissure sealants on the back molars. When treatment is needed, we explain it in a child-friendly way and go at their pace. We also guide parents on brushing, diet and habits like thumb-sucking.

Suitable for

  • Babies and toddlers for their first check-up
  • Children and teenagers for regular check-ups
  • Cavities in milk or permanent teeth
  • Early check of bite and jaw development

Children's dentistry

How it's done

  1. 01

    Getting comfortable

We meet your child, show them the chair and instruments, and let them get used to the room.

  2. 02

    Gentle examination

We check teeth, gums and bite and, if needed, take X-rays and photographs.

  3. 03

    Prevention

Cleaning, fluoride varnish and, when the molars arrive, sealants that protect their chewing surfaces.

  4. 04

    Treatment and advice

Any treatment is explained and carried out gently, and you get practical advice for home care.

  • No bottle with milk or juice at bedtime
  • Book check-ups every six months

Questions

Questions, answered.

  • Around their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing.

  • Yes. Decay in milk teeth can cause pain and infection and affect the permanent teeth growing underneath.

  • That's completely normal. We take our time, explain everything in simple words and never rush. Short, positive first visits make a big difference.
